What is Equalogy?

Equalogy is the study of gender equality. It aims to understand why both men and women have disadvantages in society and suggest ways to improve each.

What is gender equality?

Equality does not mean ‘being the same’. One definition is:

Gender equality, also known as sexual equality, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making; and the state of valuing different behaviors, aspirations and needs equally, regardless of gender.

This site looks at some aspects of life in the UK where gender equality is not present. Since the majority of this imbalance disadvantages men, the majority of the material we cover concerns men’s disadvantage.
